A quick excerpt that I wanted to share on here from Danleeme

I know it’s a latemovie review, but it’s a review nonetheless.

I watched Forgetting Sarah Marshall (LINK) tonight, it was freakin sweet, as in about a 7.7/10 which means the amount you paid to see it is justified.

It is the characters which took the cake for me, If you watch How I Met Your Mother and you like Jason Segel who plays the main character, or love the humour of Knocked up or Superbad, you’re going to enjoy this. It’s the mix of real life and comedy that has a distinct ‘human’ attachment that makes it a easily watchable film. If you haven’t seen it by now, check it out or at least check it on DVD when it’s out.

anywho, that’s it for my super short film review check the links to see what it’s about because I don’t enjoy re-spewing a story. I can try it in one sentence though.

Girl actress breaks up with guy, guy meets new girl and they enjoy a complicated but somehow simple love.

Now now, I know it’s been ages and I am sorry once again…rather frequent…

Here’s some link love for ya though which makes surfing Youtube a pleasure and a breeze.

It’s called Timetube (LINK)

Basically you put in a search for whatever takes your fancy in videos - then it comes back with results in a timeline. You can zoom in to see daily uploads to year (I think? or 6 months)

Either way, I totally enjoyed seeing what content trends came up, the responses thereof and so on. If this kind of thing makes you go all jiggly and warm inside please enjoy!

On that trend searching note, here’s another interesting site. Compete (LINK) lets you throw in a few sites that you’d like to compare and voila! It comes back with all the results compiled together on one graph!

It’s just one of those trendy Thursdays….I wish it was casual Thursday instead…*sigh*

So the other day I refound Tetris DS (tetris for the DS for the noob *RETRO CLASSIC POST u will love it*)

Then I decided, time to wi–fi play (wireless connecting to the internets to play other peoples that have tetris DS and prefer to play each other than socialise mainly because social activity is overrated and Tetris DS is the way of the warrior =) )

ANYWAY, after learning the hard way ( losing to 7 year old camp trained Japanese kids that kick ass at Tetris DS and ONLY Tetris DS, I’m sure I can beat them at eating or running) I accumulated some skills.

Thus begins my addiction and expedition into Tetris DS.

There are 2 modes you can play, and each satisfies a mood:

1) Standard 1-on-1

This is toe to toe action at its best, true skills on the line, none of the pissy items like the multiplayer mode. If you are a ruthless man, you will sit down and beat one person over and over and over (kinda like when you roll a fat child down a hill on and on and on) again till they leave - then laugh at their pussy ass name, hey why not even write it down so if you ever see em again relive kicking their ass. At the same time you can be on the receiving end and it will ruin your day.

2) Multiplayer with items

Basically the idea is to get items and tetris all the time to beat the living crap out of 3 other people. If you win its enjoyable and you can laugh at the peons try and beat you as a group. But, once again if you lose early, you get to be the fat kid that watched people in the cake shop…such a sad image.

BASICALLY, the game is totally awesome in its wi-fi play, OK in its single player as there are many new modes to try out.

All in all if you have a competitive streak in you, this game is right up your alley. A true love and hate relationship.

Whether its someones adorable 11 year old son, or a 40 year old virgin that hugs a life size Shrek, you will be defeated.

In an effort to reconnect myself to blogging and disconnect myself from distractions I have physically moved my homebase (my laptop) out of my room to a table.

Today’s thoughts?

I was reading the dumb little man’s post on ways to live and not merely exist. I guess this was one of many catalysts to get my rear in gear again.

Apart from 29.‘Stop playing video games. They might be fun, but they can take up way too much time. If you spend a lot of time playing online games, or computer solitaire, or Wii or Gameboy or whatever, consider going a week without it. Then find something else to do, outside.’ I can totally agree with each and every one (har har).

Mario is my one achilles.
